Dosing and Administration Compounded Semaglutide:
The dosing for Semaglutide increases every month until the therapeutic goal dose is achieved. Semaglutide is injected once a week, taken on the same day each week, any time of day, with or without food. It is a subcutaneous injection, self-administered, in the fatty abdominal area or thigh.
Semaglutide Dose Titration: Month 1: 0.25mg once a week x4weeks Month 2: 0.5mg once a week x4weeks Month 3: 1mg once a weekx4weeks Month 4: 1.7 mg once a weekx4weeks Month 5: 2mg once a weekx4weeks Month 6: 2.4 mg once a weekly until medication discontinued.
If you are unable to tolerate a particular dose, go back down to the previous dose and continue for 4 weeks. Then try to increase the dose again.
Medication should arrive in a vial with syringes for injection included. You will need to purchase alcohol swabs. Wash your hands prior to injection. Use alcohol swab to clean top of medication vial. Clean the injection site with the alcohol swab. Pinch the injection site to create a firm surface. Inject at least two inches away from the belly button on either right or left side. Insert the needle into the skin between the index finger and thumb at a 90 degree angle. Using slow and constant pressure, push the plunger rod until it reaches the bottom. Gently pull the syringe out of the skin. Alternate injection sites between either side of the stomach, or thigh. Subcutaneous injections will typically cause very little pain because it is only injected directly under the skin. Video tutorials are also available online for injecting subcutaneous injections.
